Why use permanent electro magnetic workholding systems?
The use of magnetic work holding greatly reduces set up times between components and increases precision due to the uniform forces being used in the workholding process. Magnetic work holding removes the need for manual clamping of components that often deforms tools and components during machining.
Permanent magnet chucks and accessories provide safe and efficient holding of workpieces for grinding, milling, turning and cutting. Because no power is required to hold the load permanent magnetic chucks have no day-to-day running costs and furthermore the workpiece remains held in position even if the power fails.
Electro permanent workholding devices provide more clamping power for larger workpieces and only require power for switching so running costs are kept to a minimum. Chucks can be partially magnetised to allow ease of part positioning when setting up.

Quad-Extra for Vertical Milling
Quad-Extra magnetic chucks are the revolutionary proposal for all machining operations on milling machines and machining centres. Easily installed on any type of machine, they don't overheat and being insensitive to any possible electrical break-down, they are intrinsically safe. The "electro-permanent" patented technology used requires the electrical feeding only for few seconds to energize and de-energize the magnetic field, then the connection can be removed while the chuck will keep the workpiece safely clamped. The workpiece is totally free for the full machining on 5 faces in a single set-up.
